Hi everybody,
Now is time to renew my Wordfast Pro licence and I realise I haven't upgraded it for years! My current version is 2.4 and I'd like to upgrade to version 4. I can't find any article to help me on this topic. Can anyone tell me how to do?
Thank you!
Chloë

Hi Chloë,
Wow, that is a dinosaur of a version! Does it even work? Check out the first section of this page to get started, especially the article about migrating from Wordfast Pro 3 to 4: https://www.wordfast.net/wiki/Wordfast_Pro_4

The new version of WFP 2.4 is WFP 3, not WFP 4

Do you realise that WFP4 is an entirely different program?
The latest version of WFP 2.4 is called WFP 3, not WFP 4. Your license for WFP 4 includes a license for WFP 3 (and you can install both WFP 3 and 4 on the same computer).

I have already looked at the wiki about Migrating from WF Pro 3 to 4, but it doesn't really explain HOW to do. Do I first have to delete my current version or will the new version overwrite it?

Be careful, WF Pro 4 is completely different, it is not just an upgrade. You can upgrade to the latest version of WF Pro 3 and download and try WF Pro 4 on your spare time at first. It could be difficult to be immediately productive (not at all in my case) using WF Pro 4. Cheers!

Not much gain

I think version 2 and 3 are not that much different, the editor is somewhat improved. But of course you should upgrade to 3 and leave 4 for the saints.
