The final ProZ.com Daily
After a fairly intense two weeks at ProZ.com of responding to this current crisis, with a three-day summit, changes to the website, innovations within our services and special discounts and free offers, this initial period of rapid response comes to a close, marking the final in this series of daily newsletters
Of course, that doesn't mean the end of the crisis – it's still unfolding and you can rest assured that we'll be monitoring the situation closely, and continuing to dialogue with you in the fora and via social media, and you will be the first to hear of any new developments.
In the meantime, this newsletter looks back at some of what has been achieved in the past two weeks, giving you all the info and links in one place.

The summit
The three-day Freelancer Success Summit, put together at extremely short notice by Drew MacFadyen and the training team, attracted thousands of translators in search of insight and guidance at this critical time.
In an innovative approach, the sessions focused on both professional issues (marketing, sales, technology) and a more personal approach, involving both meditation and yoga, to help people cope with these unprecedented times.
All the session videos will continue to be available on demand until 30 June. Just click on www.proz.com/tv/Summit2020

Site changes
In response to the crisis, we've introduced a number of changes to the site in the last two weeks. The main change concerns the creation of a one-page COVID-19 resource center, with direct links to relevant jobs, terminology, COVID-related industry news and training offers.
It also features a link to virtual powwows – an innovation introduced this past fortnight which is directly related to the need to network even during the lockdown period.
Go to https://go.proz.com/covid and also check out the dedicated new forum at www.proz.com/forum/covid_19_outbreak-2066.html

Special offers
In order to ease the burden on translators feeling the pinch at this time, we've run a few special offers, including a discount at the beginning of the period, a number of free memberships and a new offer on the full use of the Cafetran CAT tool.
And remember, the ProZ.com video library and Spotlight training, including the 14-day challenge, are completely free until June 30th, while the SDL e-learning courses are also heavily discounted.

What next?
Discussions around this subject will of course continue as long as the virus affects life in our various corners of the globe.
Both in the dedicated forum and on our various social media platforms, we'll still be here to listen to your concerns, address any specific queries and announce any new developments that come up as the crisis unfurls. So this may be the end of the Daily, but the news will continue.
In the meantime, stay safe and look after yourselves!
