I started working as a translator in 2002 and since then I have been doing extra training in different courses, webinars and meetings.
From the very beginning, game localization was very interesting for me, so I began to get specialized in that field.
I have translated several different projects for various agencies/companies.
At this moment, I am learning to program in Java and Swift to go one step forward in IT, Apps and software knowledge.

In terms of videogames, I’ve I used to work as an in-house translator at Jaba-Translations , a Portuguese translation office, and I was the responsible for the translation of all the jobs they received related to games translation. During several years I translated Electronic Arts games like The Sims series or SimCity 4. I have also translated dozens of small Java games for mobile phones (sports, strategy, racing, action, puzzles, etc).

In the past I translated user manuals for titles such as Resident Evil, Atlantis, Outpost II, Armored Fist, Grand Theft Auto, Starcraft, Hidden & Dangerous ! & II, Prince of Persia 3D, Rainbow Six, Homeworld, Gabriel Knight 3, Enemy Engaged: Comanche/Hokum, Max Payne I & II, Roller Coaster Tycoon II and way many more. Nowadays I have been working more on web bowser games, such as Grepolis, Tribes I & II and Forge of Empires, to name but a few.

I am an English into Brazilian Portuguese translator and master in Translation and Accessibility with a dissertation about Chrono Trigger’s fan translations. I got my MA in Interactive Multimedia at the Royal College of Art (London, 1995) with a prototype for an interactive soap opera. I was fascinated by interactive storytelling. I did further research on interactive narratives, exchanging ideas with famous game designers. In 1998 I got into localization, working in-house at Microsoft Ireland and SDL UK. After 12 years living abroad, I returned to Brazil in 2002; been working as a freelancer on all sorts of games and software localization projects
