I think that keeping an account up to date is a euphemism for keeping up with payments and not having a negative balance. However, in the first sentence, we already have "making payments on time." So, the other meaning -aktualizacja danych do konta - is appropriate.
In the second instance - "you can bring your account up to date by transferring money from another" - we have the euphemism at work: to bring the account into good standing.

bringing your account up to date = uregulowania ujemnego salda na swoim koncie
