Criminal Procedure Code Glossary
Some dictionaries suggest to translate it as 'bail', but I'm not quite comfortable with that since bail means security (a sum of money, for instance, exchanged for the release of an arrested person as a guarantee of that person's appearance for trial.)

bail bond
Bail Bond:
The means of assuring the appearance of an accused person to all their court appearances;
A legal paper that you buy from a bondsman and give to the court instead of bail. The defendant signs it and is let go. But if they don’t come to court when they’re supposed to, they must pay the amount of money on the bail bond.

Thus, Bail Bond is the legal stipulation that allows an accused person to be temporarily released from custody
while Bail is money that must be forfeited by the bondsman if an accused person fails to appear in court for trial
