Source text - English At the same time, we are also working on the parallel issue of conscientious objection to taxation for military purposes. In short, our contention is that there is no essential difference between serving in the military and paying for the military and that those people who have a conscientious objection to contributing to military establishments have that objection both in relation to personal service and financial contribution. In 2005, we published a set of briefing papers on this subject. They were updated significantly in 2007. Four of these briefing papers are attached for your information.
