Discussion cannot be edited? (Staff: only during the first 24 hours after posting)

I vaguely remember there being a discussion about Kudoz discussions not being able to be edited somewhere (probably not in this forum) some time ago. And I vaguely remember someone said the problem was fixed.

But the problem seems to have resurfaced, if it truly was ever fixed. I just hit the uneditable Kudoz discussion entry bug; the edit button is there, but it has no effect whatsoever. Is this affecting anyone else? or is there a known workaround? I’ve already tried a different... See more

Only possible for a certain period of time. Jan 15, 2014

If my memory serves me correctly, entries are editable for 24 hours.

The editing option is disabled after the first 24 hours since the original forum post Jan 15, 2014

Observed within 24 hours of posting Jan 16, 2014

In fact it was observed within 5 minutes I posted a discussion entry (and still observed after a cold reboot). So it’s something else.
