Good Day,

I'm a young globe-trotter who's just graduated from Warsaw University's Oriental Studies Department. I've also studied Sociology for two years.

Translating has been my hobby for 7 years now, though I could only point to my amateur translation website with Korean and Japanese lyrics and a few websites I've been working with (mostly subbing groups and one portal oriented for Asian music). Thus, I unfortunately have little professional experience.

I have a near native-level knowledge of English even though I've never lived in an English speaking country. I'm most comfortable with American English despite having been taught British English most of my life - it is a result of great many years of frequent talks with American friends and the excessive exposure to the American media. I've passed CAE exam at the age of sixteen and have been using the language more than my native one ever since.

In college I was majoring in Korean language and minoring in Chinese, though I can't speak the latter well now due to the permanent lack of practice. By then I already spoke some Japanese and during college have visited the country 2 times, enough to gain some proficiency. Until graduation I've spent a year and some in Korea, and half a year in Japan, experiences that have helped me grow me in many ways. I fancy Asia a lot, I'm hoping to live there sometime in the future.

I specialise in the areas I'm most passionate about - sociology, psychology, music, anthropology, internet, computers, literature and so on. My last work at AXA company was translating medical documents though, so I'd say I'm highly adaptive, and definitely open for new things.
