My name is Andrea Pratts, and I have experience translating legal and court documents, general business material as well as contracts and CVs and educational material from English to Swedish and Swedish to English. I have gained experience through work as a translator and content creator for a Swedish Business development company and as a paralegal translator for a European Travel Organisation. 

I currently live in Stevenage, England with pre-settled status and the right to work in the UK. I moved to England to get my BSc (Hons) in Anthropology at the University of Kent in Canterbury and decided to specialise in Business Anthropology. During my studies I had the opportunity to research human altruism and how it impacts collaboration in a corporate context. This led me to work with organisations across Europe and had me translate my research, data and report into Swedish and English.

Before my studies I took over a failing franchise bakery business and turned it into a profitable one in less than six months. This experience gave me the chance to translate websites, recipes and business material from English to Swedish. I have also written and published three novels in Swedish and have experience with copy writing and editing through that. 

Since the pandemic, I have enjoyed studying and working remotely. I thrive in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines, as long as I can work flexible hours.
