Bio
I have two major passions in life: medicine and translation. I will not try to get jobs by listing every specialty I look up in a dictionary. I will only do what I do best, which is medical English - I might have less clients, but the ones I will have, will be completely satisfied. As all my previous clients have been. The reason my clients are usually pleased with what I do is that my medical Engish is constantly being updated and kept fresh, because I work part-time as a doctor, continuously reading English-language literature and working with English-speaking patients. My specialty within medicine is psychiatry, so I have also mastered and frequently use English psychological terms. Most of my clients have been pharmaceutical companies looking for quality translations of their SPCs or PILs, or the complete documentation of clinical trials, including Consent Forms, Patient Information Sheets, discharge reports and licenses of authorities. I have also translated promotional material for pharmaceutical companies, and participated in medical and pharmaceutical website localization. Less frequently, I also take part in psychological translation projects, which have included several books on psychotherapy. You might notice I do not do interpreting; the reason is not the lack of the skill: I have also done it before, and no matter what I did - consecutive or simultaneous interpreting - my clients have been fully satisfied. But unfortunately, due to the heavy workload at my medical job, I cannot take morning hours off to do interpreting. So if you are looking for quality medical or pharmaceutical translations, where the proofreader will hardly have anything to do, contact me and see what I can do for you.
