no particular day Aug 16, 2009

I don't have a particular slowest day in a week. This depends on many factors: weather, health, amount of work in the previous days, etc.
For example I get extremly slow and angry when after a month of rainy summer days there are 2 sunny ones, and in those two I have a full work load, so I cannot enjoy them at all.

Generally Sundays Aug 16, 2009

... because that's when most people don't work.
However, being a freelancer, if there is work available I am too, and have no qualms about working weekends or nights when the need arises.
2009 so far has however been a bit of an annus horribilis, with slow weeks, months and quarters and not much regularity...

Weekend but I would choose Sunday if such option were available Aug 16, 2009

Besides that I tend to work less on Saturdays but from Monday to Friday I don't feel any significant difference.

weekends... Aug 16, 2009

...because my partner is at home and I probably don't really want to work. I usually get up later, have more breaks for coffee and chats, maybe do some cooking in between... Funny, though, how the fact that my partner only works a 4-day week and is home on Friday does not affect the amount of work I do on Fridays...Must be all in my mind. I conclude that I should not work at weekends

not a huge variation... Aug 17, 2009

but usually, the end of the week is quieter. I don't generally seem to get a lot of new contracts on fridays and if I don't hear anything on fridays, it's usually clear for the weekend. I get most of my contracts early or mid-week.

Don't work weekends Aug 17, 2009

I try to keep business hours, so week ends equal time off. I have however noticed that I seldom have much to do on Fridays (unless I'm in the middle of a project). And it takes every bit of self-discipline I might be in possesion of, not to turn the computer off before 5 p.m.

and just to prove my point... Aug 18, 2009

it's funny but bright and early this morning (monday) i got my first project of the week!

I remember last year we took a poll about who would be working over the Xmas holidays and was surprised at how many besides me were working right through the holidays. We should take that poll again this year!

weekends Aug 18, 2009

I try not to work on weekends. Sometimes that works out for me, sometimes it doesn't.
