A couple of the regulars Nov 23, 2010

Mostly I don't, but I do include the ones I've known a long time in a generic e-mail greeting that I send out.

Indeed I do... Nov 23, 2010

Most of my clients are (really) long term ones. Over the years we developed more friendly relationships. It is only right to exchange cards or small gifts with them. After all, I talk with them on a daily basis, it wouldn't be nice to just forget them when business is over. Of course, gifts are not sent to new or once in a blue moon clients, they only get a greetings e-mail. Cards Nov 23, 2010

I usually send Christmas cards to my regular clients, but not presents as that would be a bit expensive. I like to send actual cards as I think it's a bit more personal than a generic Christmas greeting sent by email.

and when I visit the one or two customers at the end of the year, I do take along a few goodies as well - but only in person.

Absolutely Nov 23, 2010

I send them an email to wish them a Happy Christmas, Happy Easter, Happy Holidays in summer etc. It is always more personalised than a generic one but it is an email, not a card and not a gift.

Not usually, but Nov 23, 2010

... if I have to bill them around the end of the year I usually include a Christmas or New Year greeting along with the invoice, acknowledging our collaboration.

yes as pdf Nov 23, 2010

I send out christmas greetings via e-mail (usually a pdf). It is much more efficient (and cheaper) than sending out cards per snail mail.

Part of the routine Nov 23, 2010

I don't necessarily send out a greeting, but I make certain to mention holiday greetings in other emails at that time of year.

A matter of courtesy! Nov 23, 2010

Always, for the New Year!
At least an email, thanking for the smooth collaboration in the previous year and hoping we can work together as efficiently during the next year.
We used to exchange snail mails but nowadays, most people in my network of agencies and colleagues donate the equivalent amount to an NGO that is mentioned in the email.

I receive a yearly present from at least one agency and am invited to a couple of New Year (and/or other) banquets.

Once in a while, any time during the year, I take a PM or two out for lunch, send flowers to the secretary on “secretary day” or their birthday… “Des petits cadeaux qui entretiennent l’amitié” Marketing my way.
