I don’t know exactly and I’m not wasting my time counting them. I have a folder for each client (some have subfolders), a big folder with glossaries (269 files), other folders for administrative things (bills, contracts, accountant, lawyer, etc.). Then two folders for videos and photos.

Is it even possible to get rid of the "Recycle bin" icon (in Windows)? I've never used the desktop, as I prefer to put stuff where I want it to be, but I don't mind having the recycle bin icon as decoration.

I have one for each important folder, one for each regular client, an "other clients" one, and various admin ones like taxes, bills and healthcare. I don't ever store files directly on the desktop: if I don't know where to put one, it goes in the "other stuff" folder until I decide it's important enough to have its own and find an appropriate name for it.

I have folders for active clients/personal projects, icons for utilities (VPN, anti-virus, etc.), translation software, MS Office programs, software related to various interests and hobbies (Cornell eBird, PhotoShop, etc.). My main desktop is on a 27" monitor, so there's lots of room.

On Windows, go to your desktop, click anywhere, press Ctrl+A, press Shift and right-click any icon, select "Copy as path", and paste into a text editor. Count the lines.
Answer: 152. 60 relate to two hobbies, 35 relate to taxation and business administration, and 10 of them are "current jobs". Those colourful blocks are a post-it note app called Notezilla (very cheap, very useful).

A lot of times when I click to see the suggested answers and results, it also tells me that I have voted, when in fact I have not. I wonder why. Not that my vote on any of these is important anyway, but I am curious.
