Poll: Do you eat at the computer? Thread poster: ProZ.com Staff

I hate mess! Food crumbs all over my working space would make me mad! I do drink two or three espresso coffees (today I already had my second cup) and as I’m very forgetful about drinking water I always have a bottle at sight on a bookshelf away from my keyboard to avoid disasters. | | | Lingua 5B Bosnia and Herzegovina Local time: 07:24 Member (2009) English to Croatian + ...
I don't like sticky keyboard/mouse. The kitchen is not far away, plus it's good to stand up and walk, and a snack can be good reason for it. | | | Kevin Fulton United States Local time: 01:24 German to English
As I type this I'm eating an orange.

I fire up the laptop as I eat my breakfast and it's pretty rare for me not to have a drink or snack at my desk. I have a box of tissues within reach and I'm always very careful not to spill anything, and I wipe the desk and sweep the floor every day, so no problems with mess either. | | | No meals, but snacks | Jun 5, 2023 |
My children know they are not allowed to touch mum's working chocolate and I also have trail mix over here. and sometimes eat fruits like an apple or a banana while I'm at work.

There I was climbing up and stashing it away at the back of the top cupboard away from the little vultures, and you just leave it out on your desk without any problems?! LOL! It's in my desk drawer ... but usually, they don't touch it. If they do, they have to buy new at the grocery store with their own pocket money, and with an increasing fine (to avoid them thinking that they are allowed to buy anything else than non-food for themselves) But admitted: usually I have the 85% cocoa dark chocolate, which they don't like anyway ... That makes life easier for everyone (and healthier for me, too)
