Frankly, I don't really remember. Apart from a Google Meet last month, in which I got to know a client's platform that I am now translating, my last training courses date all the way back to the time I was still employed. It probably had something to do with Trados Studio (which was new then and replacing the horrible Translators' Workbench) and/or Across (which was my employer's primary CAT tool for reasons I never understood nor care to understand).

That being said, I am currently gathering information on where to start learning to code/program without taking an actual presence course or even studying it. I managed eight or nine lectures over two days, as well as seeing colleagues and trying out some of the activities. It is impossible to get round everything, so I have in fact attended three years in a row!

The festival starts with a popular radio programme on language, and it includes events for children and schools, introductions to groups such as the Danish Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters, the Danish Language Society (Modersmålselskabet).
There is a wide range of lectures about everything from Danish Sign Language to dialects, how the language is developing to become more inclusive and gender neutral, changes in the new spelling dictionary that is due to come out later this year, and other aspects of language history and language policy. All of it has a serious element, but a lot of it is fun too.
Warmly recommended, but you need to understand Danish to get much out of it! The next is in May 2025.

The last two courses I did were parts 1 and 2 of the CIEP's proofreading courses. They were good courses, and maybe someday they'll pay for themselves.
Actually, not sure if this counts, but I did a CPC course only three weeks ago in Ireland. CPC = Certificate of Professional Competence. I need to do one a year if I wish to keep the HGV categories on my driver's licence.

This spring, I've got a Tutor's Certificate in Online Learning (in Russian). It would be exciting to get interdisciplinary skills in other languages in this field.

It was "Good with Words" on Coursera, and I highly recommend it.

That was probably some university course in 2001. I feel there is probably no need to take courses in anything. There is so much information available online that I can study and learn anything I want much more efficiently on my own. Using online information and experimenting on my own is the way I've learned all practical skills that I have (software, programming, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.).

The last training course I took was actually university studies... A few month before Covid broke out, I started studies in Infectiology, just as a hobby, out of curiosity. It appeared to be the best professional decision since I started off 20 years ago, as I have now all the professional knowledge and skills to do Covid- and any infectious disease related translation.
