Muriel Vasconcellos (X) ЗША Local time: 08:11 іспанская → англійская + ... Nothing to worry about | Jan 27, 2018 |
There are times when I'd like to have more, but the truth is, I could manage easily if I gave up some of the indulgences I've become accustomed to.
Isn’t there a lot of space between “nothing to worry about” and “excellent”? I seem to fall in a middle ground between the two…

Getting by. I just gave my best client an unsolicited discount of more than 50% on a large bill, because I can and I think it's deserved. So I must be doing OK. This week I've paid my quarterly VAT, put my car through its annual inspection and had new brakes installed, paid my rent, and still have a bit of cash left in the bank. I have no debts outstanding. However, I don't have a pension plan either, as I never thought I'd live to retirement age. But then again, as long as I'm sound of mind and... See more Getting by. But then again, as long as I'm sound of mind and body I don't think I'll feel the need to stop working anytime soon...

Kay Denney Францыя Local time: 17:11 французская → англійская nothing to worry about | Jan 27, 2018 |
My partner earns plenty.
I have two savings accounts for rainy days.
My problem this year will be not earning too much, otherwise I'll have to change my status which would involve paying over 50% for social security charges instead of the 23% I pay now. So I'd have to earn that much more, which I could do, but then I wouldn't have time to slot in my volunteer work.
Edwige Thomas Францыя Local time: 17:11 англійская → французская + ... I am concerned about it | Jan 27, 2018 |
January has been so bad that I'm thinking about looking for a job...Too bad as I'm really enjoying the freelance lifestyle so far, including all the cons it involves. But now it's more than I can bear.
I'm concerned about it | Jan 27, 2018 |
My clients never ever pay on time, so I have to use my credit card more often than I'd like to. When I get paid, I pay the card, debts, set some aside for the rent, pay my proofreader and have nothing left. My 2 major clients keep me too busy, so I barely have time to look for new clients.
Could be better | Jan 27, 2018 |
I moved from my hometown to another country and the currency exchange has taken a huge toll on me. So basically I am starting from zero because my clients in my hometown do not provide me with much money to live in the new city, particularly in a city like London.

In 2016, I closed at "nothing to worry about".
In 2017, I closed at "could be better".
Right now, I'm concerned, but January and February are not regular months to take as a basis.
