Just bought a copy of Office 2010. It has a feature which will diminish demand for translations, MsTranslator. It works according to the same principles as Babylon.com. You just hover over a paragraph and the entire paragraph is translated.
Not gobbledygook, but an understandable translation which needs a few corrections is produced. If this gets on 90% of the world's pcs, you can guess the result.
