World Poetry - today:
Great Homer, Shevchenko, Mickiewicz, Petrarca...
and Goethe, and Pushkin, and me...
so many a thought, so many meanings,
and so much, much truth
that we cannot lose-
the poetry in every word of each tongue,
in everyone's sound of everyone's name...
the poetry that rerives us again
till we gain
the highest level of the intelligent degree-
all poets are we, all doctors are we-
the poets of languages and of the tongue... See more
