Request - Mentoring

Description: I would like to work as an apprentice to an experienced Spanish-English freelance translator, for reduced rates, in order to gain experience at working remotely from home and get myself started as a full-time freelance.

I have lived and worked in Spain since 1993, as a language teacher, in-house translator and bilingüal secretary. I have translation experience in Legal and Real Estate, though I am keen to broaden my scope and gain experience in as many different fields as I can. I am particularly interested in Literature, Social Sciences and Education. Last year I completed an Introduction to Translation course with International House, and I am currently studying towards the CIoL Diploma in Translation, achieving grades consistently between 70 and 90% for modules on Business, Technology, Literature, Science, Social Sciences and Law.

You can see for yourself the quality of my work from the samples included in my ProZ profile. Marketing is not my strong point, which is really why I need a mentor! Looking forward to a mutually satisfactory collaboration,

Saludos,

la acequiera
