Trados Studio 2009 Reinstallation

My laptop has broken and I have to install my current SDL Trados Studio 2009 in a new laptop. What do I have to do? Remove it from the old laptop and reinstall into the new laptop? Please guide me through the process. Thank you all.

Hi,

You need to return your license to your My Account and you need to have the installation files, also from your My Account, available.

If your old laptop is innaccessible now and you didn't return your license because you were unable to go through the process then you probably need to raise a support ticket with the licensing team as your license won't be available to you on the new machine. Go to the Knowledgebase;<... See more

Then go to the tab called Solution Finder and now go here;

Licensing Problems
- I have lost one of my licenses and would like to have it reset.

This will bring up a form that you can fill in to generate a support request and you will be contacted, normally within a day.

There are plenty of resources in the My Account pages, in the Knowledgebase and in this forum where this subject has been covered many times.

Thank you Paul. I have returned my license and installed Studio. I am now running a new project ana checking if everything is OK.
