Bio
Writer, editor, researcher, and translator, Ariel N. Valerio graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman with a bachelor's degree in Philippines Studies. He served as editor of the UP Writers Club's "The Literary Apprentice" and the UP student publication "The Philippine Collegian" while an undergraduate student. He worked afterward with the Sentro ng Wikang Filipino -- UP System as University Researcher, writing and editing for the magazine "Daluyan" and other publications. He also served as faculty member of the Department of Filipino and Philippine Literature from 1990-2000. He worked with the UP System Information Office as managing editor of "Forum" and the AMA Computer University as Training Director. He concentrated on translation jobs starting 2005.
