This is from an interview with a plant director of a chocolote factory for a company newsletter. I'm having trouble finding an appropriate English term for *die süße Marken*. The sweet brands just doesn't do it. Any suggestions?
Es geht mir sogar bestens, trotz manch schlafloser Nacht ... (lacht) Sehen Sie, (chocolate manufacturer) hat mir eine große Aufgabe anvertraut. Wir XXXianer in (Musterdorf) haben viel erreicht, ... natürlich mit Hilfe der ganzen Gruppe. Der Zeitungsname trifft’s ja: Wir von XXX .... Von unserem 6000-Seelen-Städtchen am Nordhang des Thüringer Waldes, gehen die süßen Marken in die Welt, (BRAND NAMES OF CANDY AND CHOCOLATE BARS, etc.) ... und zwar, das muß man sich mal vorstellen, aus einem Bundesland mit 14 Prozent Arbeitslosigkeit ...
