Trattasi di frase all'interno di un fumetto di Andrea Pazienza, in cui il protagonista lamenta la noia delle possibilità nella vita, quelle del tossico, costretto a muoversi nei bassifondi e dilapidare fortune in cerca di un momentaneo sollazzo, e quelle di chi fa una vita regolare, e conclude dicendo "Palle anche lì, palle peggio di qui. Ma vuoi mettere risorgere?"

I've always felt it was similar to "that's nothing compared to" or "pales in comparison" or "there's no comparison to", at least in AmE. Or even a simple "try" (as in, "What a pain in the ass. Try livin' life!")

This is how I'd translate it...risorgere could be rendered in many ways but I feel the vuoi mettere bit should be maintained as a question to keep the irony.
