Dieser Begriff taucht in meinem Finanztext auf und bereitet mir einige Schwierigkeiten. Ich habe zwar Definitionen dazu finden können, kenne mich aber mit Bohrfeldern und Ölbohrungen überhaupt nicht aus.

A wildcat is a particularly difficult bore. One that is remote or very far from other bores is termed rank wildcat. Eine besondere Entsprechung gibt es m.W. nicht auf Deutsch. "Aufschlussbohrung" wäre üblich für "wildcat", für "rank wildcat" habe ich keine Ahnung.
