On trouve assez souvent "au sein d'un décodeur" , "au sein d'un dispositif" lorsqu'on fait référence à une action qui s'y passe et non à une pièce/un composant physique qui s'y trouve (dans ce cas ce serait plutôt à l'intérieur).
