[School Years]
I was also one of the best students at High School.

[University]
I graduated from Seoul National University. I majored in philosophy.

[As a translator in the military]
I (obligatorily) served in the military as a translator in cooperation with NSA agents in my early twenties.

[As a translator and teacher for 20 years]
After graduating from university, I have mostly been translating and teaching English for more
than 20 years.

[As a best-seller translator]
In 1998-1999, I translated three popular English books into Korean. Luckily, all of them were listed
as best-selling or near best-selling books. Below are their titles;

"Genghis Khan (Harold Lamb)" [historical novel]
"Triz (Altshuller)"
"Late Bloomers Who Made It Big (Allen Zullo)" [success stories]

Genghis Khan was the number one foreign novel in 1999.

[Attitudes]
I think that attitudes are very often more important than just skills. I always try to work better
than I am expected to, and more than I get paid for. I am reliable in all aspects; faithful to updates
and deadlines, anxious to keep my words and ready to put myself in others’ shoes.

[Stay in Australia]
I lived in Australia for four years and two months to make my daughter, then a primary school 4th
grader, a bi-lingual; now a high school 5th grader. She became one.
Those years gave me a good chance to get a better understanding of the English language and
to open my mind and eyes to foreign cultures.

[Most recent projects]

- In cooperation with an American writer: English to Korean
"Maccabees" (10 episodes of TV drama; Israeli history)

- Nozbe: English to Korean
"Localization" (a world-famous task management app)

- Symantec: English to Korean
Various IT documents; security, archive, backup, etc.

[A perfectionist and an all-rounder]
I am a kind of perfectionist like many other translators. I am also an all-rounder who doesn’t care
what domain the document belongs to.

[A creative translator]

Genghis Khan written by Harold Lamb I translated in 1999 was the best translated foreign novel
of the year in Korea. Only creative translators can produce best-selling books.

I majored in philosophy in Seoul National University (SNU). SNU's philosophy graduates are the
well-known best leading workforce in the fields of copy writing and essay teaching in South Korea.
They are considered to be the best language experts in Korea.
