Source text - Persian (Farsi) Freud regards dreams as guardians of sleep. As we know, sleep can be disturbed by external stimuli such as a loud noise. To protect sleep, the sleeper can produce a dream in which the noise is taken up by the dream and, as it were, explained away. These are rare occasions. More regularly our sleep is disturbed by internal stimuli. Unfulfilled desires and wishes, unresolved conflicts, give rise to inner tensions which could trouble our sleep. In sleep our relation to reality is temporarily suspended. Repression is partly relaxed and regression occurs so that archaic unconscious wishes strive for expression. Motility and action are suspended and repressed desires seek expression ‘in a harmless hallucinatory experience’ (Freud 1933:16). Common speech recognizes the wishfulfilling aspect of dreams by using the same term ‘dream’ both for the day-dream (a wish-fulfilment fantasy) and the dream we have whilst asleep. But there is a fundamental difference between the two. The day-dream expresses conscious wishes— organized, rationalized, acceptable to our waking consciousness. In the night dream, on the contrary, it is precisely those wishes which have been repressed and which trouble our psychic life that seek fulfilment. Freud thought at that time that dreams are predominately (though contrary to the common belief never exclusively) of a sexual nature. St Augustine, in his confessions, complains bitterly that God should permit that he be troubled by sexual dreams. He says that it would be so easy for God to arrange it differently.

رویایی بیافریند که در آن این صدا جذب وبه عبارتی، کم اهمیت جلوه داده شود. این رویدادها نادرند.
خواب های ما معمولاً با محرک های درونی به هم می خورند . امیال و آرزوهایی تحقق نیافته و تعارضات
حل نشده، موجب تنش های درونی می شوند که می توانند خواب ما را آشفته سازند . در خواب ارتباط
ما با واقعیت موقت اً به تعلیق درمی آید . سرکوب 1 تا حدی تقلیل یافته و واپسروی 2 رخ می دهد، به گونه
ای که آرزوهای ناخودآگا ه کهنه و قدیمی ما برای بیان و ابراز شدن تقلا می کنند . جنبندگی و کنش به
حالت تعلیق درمی آید و امیال سرکوب شده « در یک تجربه ی وهمناک بی ضرر به بیان درمی آیند .
گفتار روزمره بر این جنبه ی تحقق بخشی به آرزو در رویاها صحه می گذارد وقتی از یک واژه ی یکسان
یعنی « رویا » هم برای خیالبافی ] رویای روز [ 3 ) نوعی خیال پردازی 4 که در آن آرزوها تحقق می
یابند ( استفاده می کند و هم برای رویایی که هنگام خواب می بینیم . اما میان این دو تمایزی اساسی و
بنیادی وجود دارد . خیالبافی آرزوهای آگاهانه را بیان می کند، آرزوهایی که سازمان یافته، منطقی و برای
آگاهی هشیار و بیدار ما قابل پذیرش اند . در رویای شب، برعکس، دقیق اً آرزوهایی که سرکوب شده اند
و زندگی روانی ما را آشفته می کنند، به دنبال تحقق و کامیابی هستند . فروید در آن زمان تصور می
کرد که رویاها عمدتاً ) هرچند بر خلاف باور عموم، نه منحصر اً ( ماهیتی جنسی دارند . سن آگوستین، در
اعترافات اش، به تلخی شکایت می کند که بی تردید خداوند اجازه می دهد که رویاهای جنسی او را
آشفته سازند . او می گوید برای خداوند بسیار آسان می بود که این اتفاق را به گونه ی دیگری مقرر کند.

I am an adventurous person who likes to follow her curiosity in many fields. I have worked as a professional translator for 6 years and I have published 5 independent books and I have collaborated in 3 books.
I also worked as an English teacher for more than 6 years.
I have the experience of teaching as a lecturer in Islamic Azad University for about 4 years.
I obtained my PhD from Ferrara University in Italy and I am living in Italy now.
Additionally I am interested in Film-making and Motion graphic. So I started to learn the relevant skills two years ago. I have created a documentary and a few animation.
