English term
short of acquiescence
English to Spanish
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Derecho internacional privado
¡Hola!
"The first involves a delayed reaction, for whatever reason, short of acquiescence on the part of the left-behind parent. In such cases, the court must determine whether the child is settled and whether or not to order the return of the child, taking into account the plaintiff's explanation for the delay."

The acquiescence is the consent or agreement from a responsible one.
'The first instance implies a delayed reaction, for whichever reason, of the abandoned father or mother. In such instances, the Tribunal must decide if the child is well or OK in his or her other place. The Tribunal must decide if there's a need to organize for the child to return to his or her original home, while considering the explanation for the claimant delay.'
The Plaintiff can be called the Applicant or the Claimant (the one who makes a claim or complains about something.)
