Not the first time that someone tries "phishing" one's account details in this way. What sets this one apart is the way it is made to look like an official communication from PayPal, including links that appear to point to the PayPal site.
What made me suspicious was that the message was addressed to my main e-mail address (whereas I use one specific address for PayPal). So I saved the message as a local HTML file and had a look at the source text: presto, there was another address hiding behind the HTML label for the link...
As usual, be extra careful whenever someone asks you for personal details, however official the message may look.

They are all sham, and need to be forwarded to spoof@paypal.com for their review. Paypal never addresses customers 'Dear Customer', they always use your name, so be on the alert.

I received that kind of message too. Unfortunately cloning a website is easy. But the real sites never address you as "dear user", they identify you with your Name and Surname (dear John Smith). They do not contain "strong words" to upset you and so you jump to that link without thinking. No legitimate business asks you for your password or credit card details.
To be sure you are on their real site do not clink on the link in the e-mail, but re-type the address yourself in your bro... See more I received that kind of message too. Secured web sites like PayPal or Moneybookers use encryption to prevent your personal information from being intercepted.
If encryption is active, a padlock symbol is displayed in the status bar (normally in the lower left of your browser window).

Ralf, I received last week exactly the same e-mail message as you and after pondering I thought it was genuine
I got totally fooled by the link pointing to Paypal.
Fortunately I left it aside because I did not have time to deal with the issue at the time, and now I understand it's just another spoof. So thanks for this thread!
