Change default to Studio 2019 and not older versions

Hello!

I have installed Studio 2019 and 2015 and for some reason all sdlxliff, sdlproj, etc. Studio related formats open with Studio 2015 and not 2019.

I see no option to change this in Windows - Default programs / Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Studio 2019 is simply not listed when trying to change it.

Can you please help? I'm surely missing something small.

You can manually select the application file May 12, 2020

1) If you're running Windows 10, you can right-click on the file and select "Open with..." > "More apps" > (scroll to the bottom) > "Look for another app on this PC" which will open the "Browse" dialog window that will let you navigate to Studio 2019 folder and select SDLTradosStudio.exe.

2) If you're running Windows 7 (can't remember if it worked the same way in 8/8.1), after selecting "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program" you can access the same *.exe selection dialog window by selecting the specific file extension and clicking on "Change program...". ▲ Collapse

If you're still out there, could you please be more specific. How did you "repair" Studio 2019?

I have the same issue, but with 2021 and 2017.

Go to Control Panel as if you wanted to uninstall Studio but choose Repair option instead of Uninstall.
