Transit NXT: Change the project name

I need to change the name of a project. I don't dare to try & error.
Do I need to go through the entire process of creating a new project, import files, pretranslate etc. or is there a faster workaround?

I found the answer - in case anyone has the same question.

You change the name of a project through the corresponding *.prj file.

In my situation these *.prj files are located in the path: C:\.... \Transit NXT\config\global
Change the name of the *.prj file you see in Windows Navigator.
Open the *.prj file using the standard Windows text editor (Notepad).
Edit the line "ProjectName=" and fill in the name you just gave to the file you're working in.... See more

Restart Transit.

NB For experiments with files which contain essential settings it's always wise to copy & rename the original file first (something like [originalname]OLD.prj).
In case anything goes wrong, you'll still have the original settings (just give the file its original name back by removing OLD). ▲ Collapse
