Suddenly Transit stopped communicating with the large SQL database (approximately 680,000 entries). Perhaps because I've emptied it one time too much?

Luckily my TimeMachine backup went back until January 17, so I've restored it. TM once more saved me . If I had to do all that fine-tuning on my Transit installation, that would be a real disaster.
