Hi, I need to convert a XML format TMX into a txt format TMX for Wordfast.
I am not sure about txt format.
Could anyone please send me a short Wordfast txt TMX as an example?

You have your terminology mixed up.
TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) is one specific translation memory format, or TM format. There is no "text-type TMX" or "XML-type TMX". All TMX files are XML by definition.

I'm guessing what you want to do is convert a TMX to a Wordfast-style txt memory. That's probably not necessary, as Wordfast can import TMX anyway (I'm not sure about Classic, though).

TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) is one specific translation memory format, or TM format. There is no "text-type TMX" or "XML-type TMX". All TMX files are XML by definition.

I'm guessing what you want to do is convert a TMX to a Wordfast-style txt memory. That's probably not necessary, as Wordfast can import TMX anyway (I'm not sure about Classic, though).
Anyway, don't reinvent the wheel; don't try to convert TMX to WF txt by writing a parser yourself or copy-pasting... you are not the first person who needs to do this, so there are tools for the job. The easiest way to convert TMX to WF txt is... to import it into Wordfast. ▲ Collapse
