这则杭州新闻是炒房还是真的热卖，我不知道。不生活在当地，已经完全没判断能力。但国内的情况据我所知这几年是很好的，亲朋好友过得都不错。我们离杭州很近，有的学校已经搬迁到家门口了。熟人中有不少也在杭州买了房。原来的杭州人只要市区有个一间半厅的，卖掉就发财了。
今年小儿子回去一看，说三年前住过的钱江南岸某小区他一下子找不到了，因为原来只有六幢高楼，现在边上又建造了三十幢，成了六六三十六了。房价吓人，吃的东西比美国的还贵。
所以，前几天我看到杭州两百多套新房一上市，80几秒钟之内就抢完了。不知是真是假。手里攒着上千万现金的还买不到？？？ 现在的国人怎么那么有钱？
相比之下，美国这几年增长缓慢。回到上述退休后还打工的问题。其实，美国确实还有相当多的老年人 (Seniors, 65 or older) 在干活，近十年来越来越多。这可能跟 2008房贷泡沫以来，物价上涨，工资未涨有关吧。现在你看一下房价，实际上已超过 2008年最高的时候。贷款利率低了近十年但正在紧跟着上升。很多美国人是寅吃卯粮的，很少积蓄，或根本没有。退休年龄到了还去打工，可能是不得已。有点积蓄的，可能都放股票里去了。

对了，今天好像又是历史新高，现在 DOW已达23，152.62点。 IBM 涨疯了，Steve 这下可以再来它一台新的苹果了。若有人问我在美国生活这么多年，有何感想? 我只能这样唱了：

关于这则杭州卖房新闻，我想热卖应该还是真的，但也不排除含有炒作成分。与北京上海等城市的房价相比，杭州这批新房的均价3.5万元/平方米还是很低的。“86秒售罄”，确实令人难以置信。我若在网上买一套积木，至少也得花上几个86秒。买一套房子，起码得看一看朝向是东南西北，屋里有几个厕所和洗澡间吧？我每次回国，也看到亲朋好友都过得都不错，不过也耳闻目睹过一些阴暗面。
确实有很多美国人积蓄很少，或根本没有，退休后不得不去打工。但我觉得那个 survey 的结果只能代表 respondents，不能代表所有美国人。
