This morning I received this weird payment from someone I do not know.
Did any of you got such a huge gift from a stranger?

I got one USD from PP when I registered. It may not be a stranger at all, but PayPal itself who is checking you debit/credit card or bank account.

Actually the stranger has a name, surname and e-mail.
I don't rember him and I don't see why someone should send me 1 €.

Did you see an actual receipt, or did you get a notification? In the latter case, were you asked to access your Paypal account? If yes, did the e-mail contain a link?

Maybe he wanted to send me 1,000,000,000 €

Just forgot to add 6-7 zeros, nothing unusual here
However, I'm not a pro in such things, but this could be some way of phishing. If you really don't know whats going on, my advice would be to contact the paypal tech support, just in case... Won't cost you anything, but could be a way to avoid future problems.

It's probably the best solution. I was thinking of phishing too, but I 'm not a pro either
