Could anybody advise me please what are translation rates per 1000 words in the UK for an English to Polish technical translation? Many thanks.

Hi Izabela

You might like to look at the pricing information on the site, which can be
found (under Tools / Community Rates), here :
http://www.proz.com/?sp=rates_view
There are 2 tables, one by clicking on your Language pair and the other by clicking on translator rates / fees.
I hope that's useful.

You can charge something like 0.75 pence per word but it's for really difficult text

According to the proz sample (http://search.proz.com/employers/rates) the average rate English > Polish is €0.09/wd so about 0.08GBP at current exchange rates.

I only wish, in my wildest dreams I could charge 0.75GBP per word. If this is the case, I'll start learning Polish immediately
